Just over a year ago, the team of Cassidy Bayer, Kaila Stein, Mollie Passacantando, and Jessie Bricker thrilled their parents by swimming a 1:03.03 100 meter medley relay.
That record lasted 53 weeks until six different parents were thrilled, and two others said, "ho hum, another team record." (Just kidding, the Bayers were happy too!) Parker Fulghum (back), Cassidy Bayer (breaststroke), Emma Jones (fly), and Elaina Phalen (free) wrote their names in the Gator scroll of awfully fast swimmers with a 1:02.94.
I would wager that this marks the first time Cassidy's part of a team record setting relay involved her swimming breaststroke, underscoring her versatility.
