Kenny Krogh's win in event 13 -- the 9-10 boys backstroke by just 0.29 seconds over his Little Rocky Run opponent -- was the first win for Gator boys in the meet, and proved to be the start of the comeback. The 26 point deficit before Kenny's win would prove to be the biggest Gator deficit of the meet, as the team started patiently, albeit slowly, chipping away at the Stingray margin.
Kenny brings home the victory.
The 15-18 girls won 38 out of a possible 41 points, including three sweeps and a relay win. (Editor's note: Hey, wait, did you say "only two MVPers can win the coveted GSOTW award" just two paragraphs ago? Reporter: Yes, so? Editor: the whole group of 15-18 girls isn't exactly one person. Reporter: When your age group wins a net 35 points in a meet the team wins by ten points, it's difficult to pinpoint any one GSOTW.)
I think Anna makes a funny face just to
ensure I put her picture on the blog!
Double winner Jessie!

Point scorers in the 15-18 age group were Jessie Bricker, Anna Fracasso, Torie Bolger, Molly Cabral, Cassidy Bayer*, Sarah Jones, Jessica Metter, and Emily Walzl. The 9-0 sweep in the backstroke fully turned the tide, the 9-0 sweep in the breaststroke allowed the Gators to win breaststroke, while the 9-0 sweep in the fly made it possible for the team to win the meet even while being outscored 25-35 in the relays.
Even swimming up Cassidy seems pretty fast.
Almost the same picture as last week!
Emily Walzl to the wall!
Jessica Metter is one of eight 15-18 girls
to score points for MVP this week!
*Cassidy swam up, and since she's a pretty good swimmer and was able to score points in the age group, she's treated as a 15-18 girl for this occasion.
(Reporter's Note: Also, "Kenny Krogh & the 15-18 Girls" would make a pretty good name for a rock band. Editor: Do you have to pay Dave Barry a royalty when you rip off one of his lines? Reporter: Not if he never reads this!)
