Gator Nation Welcomes Home Gator Superstar

A strong contingent of Gator Nation came out to Mount Vernon Park on Sunday evening to welcome home fellow teammate, Cassidy Bayer, and the Bayer family from US Olympic Team Swim Trials in Omaha.  The Gators cheered Cassidy on all week from Alexandria and were thrilled to be able to give her hugs and high-fives for her amazing performances at team trials.

The Bayers came to MVP straight from the airport after a long and exciting week, and Cassidy was truly touched by the outpouring of support and friendship shown to her at MVP on Sunday.  Cassidy shared that "It was heartwarming.  I told myself I wasn't going to cry, but I did anyways."

Congrats Cassidy on your amazing swims in Omaha and we look forward to cheering for you as you set your sights on the Olympics in Tokyo in 2020!
