As most readers know by now, there was a correctable error discovered in the scoring of the Division 3 Relay Carnival, so the Gators are now sharing the relay title with the Little Rocky Run Stingrays.
A DQ was given to the Stingrays for a race they finished second in. However, since they had not received a DQ slip, their team rep alertly asked to see it. Well, it turns out the slip was assigned to their time card by mistake. Thus, while MVP won that race (and the 14 points that goes with it), LRR went from zero points in that event to 10.
That made the final score 180 MVP/180 LRR, with Vienna Woods a close third at 168.
So, we still get the glory of the relay carnival win, but we share that glory with LRR,
So, all that stuff I wrote on the blog comparing the win with the win five years ago, and the score, and all that? Yeah, well, never mind.
However, MVP relays are still really, really good!
